Fall mini photography sessions are by far the best in Boulder (in my opinion as a ten year Boulder photographer) because it is so absolutely gorgeous here!!!! I love the smell in the air, the excitement of the kids back in school, everyone in their nice holiday clothes all warm and snugly with the brilliant autumn colors in the background, and just the feeling in the air of love and joy.

What is a mini family photography session?
Well, I know that not everyone can afford a full session with me so these session are half off the regular price, a fabulous deal for any family. I am a commissioned artist. I produce beautiful works of art that are special and unique to your family that are then printed on heirloom quality paper and canvas to be preserved for up to 5 generations.
It takes a lot of work and talent on my part. I am not an ordinary photographer. I do not just get a good likeness of what your child looks like in this moment of his or her life, I capture who they really are, the very essence of their personality at this particular age, and the connection, love, and joy you have together as a family.
In fact, I teach other photographers how to do this as well with my family posing guide and video, and the workshops I offer.
I even offer a workshop of how to do successful mini sessions-because it is not an easy thing to capture the essence of a family in 30 minutes. But I have been doing mini family photography sessions for so long that they are simple (and tons of fun) for me. I know what to look for, how to get your children comfortable, how to get your family interacting and having fun, and I never worry about getting that "perfect picture" where everyone has on their best fake smiles and are looking at the camera.
Instead, I capture LOVE and JOY and HAPPINESS. Sometimes I capture tears and comforting and fussiness. It's all there for me, and I see it so am able to capture it.
Mini family photography sessions are different from full sessions in that they are 30 minutes long (instead of 1-2 hours), at a predetermined location, like Wonderland Lake and NCAR (both so breathtaking) in South and North Boulder respectively, and are back to back with other sessions (this year I am only doing TWO a night because I am 7 months pregnant!!!).
